Looking for a fun way to pass the time at San Diego Comic-Con and get a fun commemorative patch? Help gather convention research for us! Stop by the booth and we’ll give you a pamphlet with all the details on how to earn this year’s 2025 Convention Research Patch. We promise it’s a lot of fun.

Our research tasks are in three categories:

• Character Documentation: Establishing a record of attendees and others at the con.

• Artifact Collection: Gathering items of interest or value to the con.

• Digital Preservation: Recording events, groups, or activities at the con.

You have the duration of the con to complete and return to the booth. We know SDCC asks a lot of us all and this research should fit right in alongside all your other con obligations.

Requirements

• Complete a minimum of 4 TASKS in EACH CATEGORY for a total of 12 tasks

• Tasks are OPEN TO INTERPRETATION - convince us of your reasoning!

• Each task can only be submitted ONCE

• If your research can apply to multiple tasks, you must PICK ONE

• Please have your research ORGANIZED & ready to show or give us. If you’re rooting through your phone, we will move on and ask you to come back.

• Rangers who finish required tasks earn the 2025 YEAR BADGE - while supplies last!
